• Engine reconditioned to GT spec with closed cooling system, overhauled gearbox with new clutches, new prop shaft, reworked propeller, new water pump and impeller, Weber carburettor, new fuel tank and sender, new exhaust to Lloyd's specification with silencer and exhaust alarm
• Full electrical rework: LED lighting throughout, new switches, new 240V fuse box, marine shore power hook up, 110Ah leisure battery
• Blown air heating, pressurised hot and cold water, shower, new calorifier and new fresh water tank
• New canopy, all windows resealed, new deep pile carpet throughout
• GPS speedo, depth sounder, VHF, compass and an engine room camera viewable from the helm

Six berths, semi displacement GRP hull, shaft drive, 70 litre fuel tank and 300 litre water tank. The Crossflow is cheap to run, sips fuel at river speeds, and servicing parts are widely available.

The one job left: the hull has never been machine polished and there are cosmetic marks on the lower sections. A day with a machine polisher next winter sorts it. Everything else on this boat has been done, and done properly.

The Birchwood 25 is a well respected, solidly built GRP cruiser with a proven hull design. This particular example has been maintained and improved well beyond her original specification:

• GRP construction throughout
• New canopy, crisp, smart, and fully watertight
• All windows resealed to eliminate drips and damp
• New deep pile carpet throughout the interior
• Hull sound and solid (cosmetic marks on lower sections only)

She presents beautifully above the waterline and turns heads wherever she goes. A machine polish to the lower hull is the only cosmetic work remaining.
